A few years ago I had planned to leave one job for another. Then another job was offered that everyone was telling me I must not pass by. It was something that most people would have considered a great opportunity. It sounded like the better job. In the end, I went against my gut feeling and took the "better" job, knowing in my heart that I didn't want it. The outcome was disastrous and sent me on a downward spiral that took me two years to dig myself out of. The point is, sometimes things look great on the outside and everyone watching will say "choose that one", but you know why you want the other one instead. In that case, go with your gut. There's a reason why you're being pulled in that direction and if you go the way everyone tells you to go, you'll never know what it was.
