REVIVING PASSIONS

Passions can die along with dreams but they can also be revived. Dig deep inside your soul and ask what it is that you're missing in your life. It could be joy, it could be creative expression, or it could be closer connections to people. The more we shut down and ignore our emotions the more cut off from passion we become. The first step toward revival is to feel our feelings. Allow yourself to feel without judgment. Acknowledge anger when it's present. Admit embarrassment, or sadness or warmth. We've been taught to feel as little as possible and so many numbing devices (also known as vices) are available to us in many forms. The more you erase them the more you are going to feel. It's hard facing life with authenticity when everyone else is putting on a show. Be yourself, love who you are and feel what you feel.
