BE GENTLE TO THE ONES YOU LOVE

We shouldn't need to be reminded but gentleness is a quality that often gets lost in long term relationships. That includes not only romantic relationships but also friendships and parent/child relationships. Gentleness means that we are patient and tolerant and not better than anyone else. It means that when someone doesn't understand we can explain without putting them down. It means that if they aren't moving fast enough or growing fast enough for us, or doing what we want them to do, we can still respond with kindness and acceptance of who they are and where they are in their life. Be gentle to those you love, you might not have them forever.
