KNOWING WHY WE CHOSE WHAT WE CHOSE

We usually know why we made the decisions that we made. Others might look at our lives and be perplexed but we understand why we're doing what we're doing. There is always a logical reason, in our way of thinking, why we made those decisions. Then our thinking changes and we make even more preposterous decisions that leave everyone scratching their head. "You did what and why?", they might say. It's hard to explain to someone who follows the pack, why we're going in the other direction. In fact, people usually judge and determine that there is "something wrong" with our thinking and our decisions. That's why it's so important to listen inwardly and to know why we're doing what we're doing. We need to remind ourselves daily that "the reason I'm doing X is because of Y", even if others can't see it. Doubt sneaks its way in and if we start second guessing our decisions, we'll end up in no man's land.

Think of a few things that you're doing in your life right now and why you're doing them.
Write down three decisions that you made that landed you where you are today.
Next write down why you decided to do those three things.

Do you see that you had good reasons for why you made those decisions? Maybe the outcome wasn't what you wanted but it's a result of your decision based on your thinking at the time that you made the decision. Our thinking or understanding of life changes with time and we must live with the decisions that we made at an earlier time when we didn't have the knowledge or understanding that we have now.

Take the time to review your life, now. It's the beginning of a new year and it's time to take your life in new directions based on what you've learned up to this date. The life you live today is the life you created yesterday. Now you have new tools to use to create something that works better for yourself.

See you on Monday
