ONE STEP HIGHER

What would your life look like if you were to take every aspect of it to the next level? For instance, what if you moved up a notch at work? Or, what would be the next step in your primary relationship? Maybe at work it would be something small like getting a better office, or a new project to work on. Maybe the next step in your relationship is simply, more intimacy, to be kinder and more supportive of to your partner.

Many times we aim too high too soon. If we take too large a step, the little steps in between catch up to us. An example of this is when people get married even though there are a host of problems they haven't sorted out before making that commitment. Do you think those problems suddenly disappear just because they set a wedding date and made the commitment? The problems don't disappear at all and those very things that were obstacles before the marriage suddenly become major differences that could cause the marriage to dissolve.

No matter what area of your life you are looking at, think in terms of the next tiny step you need to take to make your life better. The endpoint is always important.
It needs to always be in front of you, but the next step is really the most important one because it's "in the now". It is something you can do something about right away.
